Adela Hernandez

Adela G. Hernandez gained her angel wings on June 17, 2021, at the age of 84. She was born to Luis and Francisca (Gomez) Guerrero on April 3, 1937, in Seguin, Texas.

To Adela family came first and was the most important thing. She loved spending time and making memories with her children and grandchildren. She never forgot anyone’s birthday, and you could bet that if it were your birthday, she would bake a delicious cake for you to celebrate.  She enjoyed cooking and baking, and she also enjoyed fixing up her yard when she found some spare time. Her smile and presence will be greatly missed by all of those who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Luis and Francisca; son, Victor Hernandez Jr. and Francisco “Frankie” Hernandez Sr.; brothers, Ignacio Guerrero, Baldomero Guerrero, Armando Guerrero and, Adam Guerrero; sisters, Otila Garcia, Olga Guerrero and, Luisa Arce.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 66 years of marriage, Victoriano Hernandez; children, Elsa Paredes and husband George, Estella Hernandez and Roger Hernandez Sr. and wife Cecile; daughter-in-law, Yolanda Hernandez; grandchildren, George Paredes Jr., Gabriel Paredes, Michael Hernandez, Roger Hernandez Jr., Cedes Hernandez, Cesar Hernandez, Frankie Hernandez Jr., Simon Hernandez, Vonette Hernandez, Yvette Hernandez, Victor Hernandez III and Priscilla Hernandez; 23-great-grandchildren, 9 great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Vidal Guerrero and wife Dora, Luis Guerrero Jr. and wife Susie and Henry Guerrero. Adela is further survived by her fur babies, Sunni, and Bailey and by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 23, 2021, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with a Funeral Service to begin at 12:00 p.m. at Palmer Mortuary. Concluding the funeral services, a procession will depart the chapel for interment at Santo Tomas Cemetery.
