Alisia Cantu, of Seguin, passed away on Monday, September 11, 2018 at the age of 88. She was born on March 20, 1930 in Kenedy, Texas to Fidencio and Secundia Briones.
She is preceded in death by her husband: Paul Cantu, Jr., her son: Herald John Cantu and her father.
Survivors include her children: Roland Cantu and wife Elizabeth, Robert Cantu, Alice Herrera and husband Rubin, Joan Cantu, and Paul Cantu, III, and wife Mary Liz; 11 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
Alisia was a doting mother and grandmother. She enjoyed listening to music, singing, dancing, gardening and decorating her house. She was a determined, hard working woman and in 1998 she received her certification to be a Medication Aide, in which she was extremely proud of.
Visitation will be held at Palmer Mortuary Chapel on Sunday, September 23, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with the family to share words at 6:00 p.m. and the Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church on Monday, September 24, 2018 at 11:00 a.m., with the burial to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.
