Alpha Barnett

Alpha "Al" Barnett, of Seguin, passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at the age of 84. He was born on September 5, 1930 to Alpha Omega Barnett and Birtrice Westbrook in Waelder, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his wife Hazel Marie Lutz Barnett, sons, Clay and Timmy Barnett; grandson Jeffery Barnett, his parents, brothers, Lester, Chester, Bill and Ray; and sisters, Mattie and Ruby.

Survivors include his daughter Barbara Harborth and husband Harvey of Pensacola, FL, son Donald Barnett and wife Crystal of Seguin, and partner Bea Yeats of Seguin, sisters, JoAnn Paige and husband Ralph of Scurry, TX, Jackie Wells and husband Buddy of Dallas, TX; as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Al enjoyed reading, playing dominoes and fishing. He will be remembered as a loving father and Paw Paw.

Visitation will be held at Palmer Mortuary on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Palmer Mortuary on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warriors, The Salvation Army or a charity of one's choice.
