Amparo Ayala, went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 3, 2021, at the age of 85. Amparo was born in Espinazo Nuevo León on November 26, 1936, to Placido Alvizo Navarro and Carmen Moya Zapata.
Amparo is preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of 68 years, Raul Ayala, her daughter Carmen Guadalupe Ayala, and her great grandson Anthony Rene Acuna.
Amparo is survived by her nine children, Juana Acuna (Gabriel), Salvador Ayala, Ana Maria Ayala, Maria Cantu (Humberto), Raul Ayala and Raquel Santillan, Jorge Luis Ayala (Mary), Julio Cesar Ayala (Concepcion), Laura Castellon (Ignacio), and Armando Ayala; her sister, Manuelita Alvizo Moya (Juan Manuel Medina; and 24 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, and nephews.
Amparo loved to sew and cook. She was a talented seamstress who was well known in the community for making the balet folclorico costumes for El Teatro de Artes for over 20 years. She was also known for making her delicious tamales. She loved her family very much and enjoyed spending time with them.
A Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 9, 2021, at Palmer Mortuary from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 with the Holy Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 10, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Guadalupe Cemetery.
