Andrew Baron Broff

April 28, 1958 — March 15, 2025

In profound remembrance of Andrew Baron Broff, known affectionately as Andy, we gather to honor his remarkable life that spanned from April 28, 1958, in Prestwick, Scotland, to March 15, 2025, in the enchanting surroundings of Bali, Indonesia, where he departed this world while attending a work conference.

Andy, adorned with a spirit of curiosity and fervor, embarked on a journey that commenced in childhood, ignited by an ardent interest in the Automotive Research Industry. His early experiences with dirt bikes and cars laid the foundation for a career that would be marked by passion and commitment. Following his service as an Engineman 2nd Class Petty Officer in the U.S. Navy from 1976 to 1980—where he received the Meritorious Unit Commendation—he transitioned into a fulfilling professional life. Throughout his career, he contributed his talents to esteemed organizations such as EGG, Bendix, Southwest Research, and Intertek, with a particular ambition that focused on making a difference in China.

In 2018, Andy's dreams unfolded as he embraced the opportunity to relocate to China, a place that he cherished for its culture and the warmth of its people. His impact there was profound, garnering numerous accolades, but perhaps the greatest reward was the lasting friendships he cultivated.

Beyond his professional achievements, Andy was a devoted father, finding great pride in raising his children, Brandie Cisneros and Brandon Broff, as a single dad. His legacy is beautifully enriched by his granddaughter, Tyli, and son-in-law, Juan Cisneros, as well as his beloved family members: his mother, Catherine Broff, father, Robert Broff, brother Bob Broff, sister Theresa Anderson along with her husband, Mark, sister Kim Hensley along with her husband Ed, and; he also leaves behind a multitude of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins who will forever hold cherished memories of him.

Andy was a man who traversed the world with an insatiable thirst for adventure, an appreciation for history, and a talent for storytelling that captivated all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His unyielding zest for life and the pursuit of dreams served as a beacon of inspiration to many.

As we gather to commemorate this remarkable soul, a Celebration of Andy’s life will be held at Palmer Mortuary & Cremations in Seguin, Texas, on April 28, 2025. The family will receive condolences at 1:00 p.m. and a Celebration of Life service will begin from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Friends and family are invited to share in the reflections and stories that encapsulate Andy’s vibrant journey. A livestream of the service will be available within this obituary page for those who cannot make it in person to be with the family.

Though he has departed from this earthly realm, the essence of Andy will eternally resonate within our hearts, and his boundless enthusiasm for life will continue to inspire all who remain.
