Angela Johnson was a beacon of light! She was born on October 1, 1941, in the vibrant town of Tlahualilo, Durango and transitioned from this life to the next on July 26, 2023, in Seguin, Texas. Her life was a testament to the power of faith, the joy of selflessness, and the healing power of laughter.
The daughter of Luis and Catalina Arreola, Angela was predeceased by her loving parents and her cherished daughter, Angela Cathy Brown. However, her spirit lives on through her sons, William R. Brown, Robert Johnson, Brandy Johnson, and Michael Johnson, as well as her sisters Margarita Ferraro and Martha Wilson. She was blessed with numerous grandchildren, William Brown, Jennifer Brown, Ashley and Kelsey Johnson, Logan Johnson, Roman and Jade Johnson, and Ethan Johnson, all of whom she adored. Her love also extends to her many great-grandchildren, each of whom she cherished.
Angela's life was she cherished. Angela's life was characterized by her love for others and her dedication to service. While living in Cheyenne, Wyoming, she served as a Foster Grandparent, a role she held in high esteem. She was a woman who knew the importance of giving back, and her legacy will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.
Her interests varied and were as colorful as her personality. Angela had a love for hip hop music that was infectious. She enjoyed dancing, her feet always moving to the rhythm of life, and shopping, where she could find joy in the simplest of things. As a military wife, she understood the sacrifice of service, and she stood as a pillar of strength for her family.
Her life was a dance, a rhythm of love, service, and joy that touched everyone she met. Angela Johnson was a woman of faith, a faith that was evident in every aspect of her life. Her unwavering belief in the goodness of people and the power of love was inspirational. She was selfless, always putting others before herself, and she had a sense of humor that could light up a room. Her laughter was infectious, her joy was contagious, and her love was boundless.
In the words of Maya Angelou, "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Visitation will be held at Palmer Mortuary on August 1, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 7:00 p.m.
Visitation will continue on August 2, 2023 at Palmer Mortuary starting at 9:00 a.m. A prayer service will begin at 10:00 a.m. and interment will follow at San Geronimo Cemetery.
