Anita Chavez

Anita Zavala Chavez of New Braunfels, Texas passed away in Seguin, Texas on Sunday, 20 December 2009 at the age of 71.

Anita is preceded in death by her husband, Ben S. Chavez, Sr.; parents, Esteban and Ricarda Zavala; sister, Petra Mendez; and sister-in-law, Carmen Chavez.

Anita is survived by sons, Ben Chavez, Jr. and Mark Chavez; daughters, Joyce C. Acuna, Diana Barr, and Linda Longoria; grandchildren, Stephen Ben Chavez, Jeffery and Erica Acuna, Scott and Daniel Luke, Damian De Leon, Issac, Adrian, Ethan, and Dara Chavez, and Longan, Lucas and Lindsey Longoria; Great-grandchildren, Colin Ben Chavez, Dasmine Deleon, and Jayden and Alana Acuna; brothers, Joe Zavala wife Christine, Juan Zavala wife Cruz, Esteban Zavala, Jr. wife Hermila, Teno Zavala wife June, Fernando Zavala wife Gloria, and Fred Zavala wife Linda ; sisters, Macaria Mart and Margaret Gonzales; brothers-in-law, Manuel Chavez wife Helena, Santiago Chavez wife Concepcion, Henry Chavez wife Olivia, Epimenio Chavez wife Eva, and Domingo Chavez; sisters-in-law, Nieves Herrera and Paula Cope.

Palmer Mortuary will hold a visitation on Wednesday, 23 December 2009 from 5:00 PM 9:00 PM with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. A Mass will be held Thursday, 24 December 2009 at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Cemetery.
