Our Queen, Antonia "Bita" Moreno, of Seguin, went to be with her Lord and Savior, on Wednesday, November 11, 2015, at the age of 88. She passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family. She was born in Caldwell County, Texas on June 13, 1927, to Federico Hernandez Sr., and Marciana Rodriguez.
She is preceded in death by her parents, beloved husband of 55 years Francisco Moreno Sr., daughter Josephina Moreno and son Jose M. Moreno.
Survivors include her children, Frank Moreno Jr., and wife Maria, Trinidad Moreno and wife Mary, daughter-in-law Rosemary Moreno, Lydia Castilleja and husband Rafael, Irene Moreno, Maria Juarez and husband Felix; 18 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and 17 great-great grandchildren; as well as her siblings, Federico Hernandez Jr., Fidel Hernandez, Cruz Hernandez - all from McAllen, TX.
Antonia was a wonderful, loving woman. She enjoyed her time at family gatherings, being outdoors, shopping and decorating for the holidays. She will be greatly missed by those that knew and loved her. Her family is thankful that she left many great memories for her to be remembered by.
Visitation will be held at Palmer Mortuary Chapel on Thursday, November 12, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church on Friday, November 13, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at San Geronimo Cemetery.
Active Pall Bearers will be Gabriel Hernandez, Gabriel Moreno, Rafael Castilleja Jr., Gilbert Soto, Felix Juarez Jr., Mario Moreno, Michael Castillo Jr., and Officer, Jeremey New.
