Barbara Jones

Barbara Ellen Jones, 75, of New Braunfels, Texas, went to be with our Lord on March 24, 2023.  She was born in Ellensburg, WA, on July 9,1947, daughter of the late Harley Lankins Jr. and Lena Smith. Sister of the late Rosie Brock. She is survived by her spouse, David Jones, and her two sons, Will (Christie) Jones of Leona Valley California; Clint (Misty) Jones of Guthrie Texas and daughter Amber Dodson of New Braunfels Texas. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren; Tel Jones, Megan Jones, Kolby Jones, Levi (Mary) Jones, Abigail Jones, Sierra Jones, Audrey Dodson and Aurora Dodson; two siblings, Sandy Rowe and Dee, and nieces and nephews.

Barbara grew up in Cherry Valley in Duvall Washington where she enjoyed all outdoor adventures horseback.  She graduated from Tolt High School in 1966. She later met the love of her life, David, and they soon wed on April 20, 1968. They later moved to Arnette Texas where she was surrounded by the love of the Jones family. In 1997, they relocated to Geronimo, TX where they became community members. Barbara had a craft shop in her early days, loved painting and crafts. She was part of many organizations throughout her life: World Book, Texas Agriculture Statistics Services, Herbalife, and many others. Barbara was also an active member of Friedens Church, where she also served in the Women of Friedens Guild, Annual Spring Festival, and weekly Fish Fry Feasts.

A memorial service will be held at 9 AM on Wednesday, March 29th, at Friedens United Church of Christ, 2555 Friedens Church Rd, Seguin, TX 78155. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Barbara Jones to the Friedens Church.
