Benito "Benny" Perez

Benito “Benny” Perez, age 67 of Seguin passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family Sunday October 13, 2024, at 12:12 PM. Benny was born in Seguin on March 21,1957 to David O. Perez and Florita R. Perez.

He is preceded in death by his parents, David O. Perez and Florita R. Perez, stepbrother Aurelio Marez Jr., father-in-law, Andres Garcia, Sr., brother-in-law, Domingo and John Garcia, and sister-in-law Wanda Garcia. 

Left to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Emma G. Perez, daughters Kimberly Perez of Seguin, Tx., Veronica (Chris Chacon), of Converse, Tx., His grandchildren, Priscilla Emma Villarreal -Silva and husband Bryan Villarreal Silva from San Marcos, Tx., Angelina Martinez and Victor Flores Sr. from Hutto, Tx, Marcelino Martinez and Miri Martinez, from Austin Tx., Also his loving great- grandchildren Victor Paul Jr, Bane Nathaniel and Benjamin Nash V-Silva, Ellayna Myla Martinez, Auriana Michelle Flores, and Sól Emmalea V-Silva. His brothers, David Perez Jr. and wife Yolanda Perez, Johnny Perez and wife Liz Perez of Austin Tx., Michael Perez of San Antonio Tx. Sister Oralia Avalos and husband Carlos Avalos of Austin Tx., mother-in-law Elisa Garcia of Seguin, Tx., along with many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly, and many friends who enjoyed his company.

Visitation will begin on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at Palmer Mortuary from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the recitation of the Rosary at 6:30 p.m. followed by sharing of memories by family and friends in Seguin Texas.

Visiting hours will continue at Palmer Mortuary Thursday, October 24, 2024, beginning at 8 a.m. and a procession will depart Palmer Mortuary at 9:30 a.m. for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Guadalupe Memorial Park, Hwy 46 New Braunfels, Texas. 

Family and friends are invited to A Celebration of Life reception following services at 1 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall 1015 S. Austin St., Seguin, Texas.

The Perez family would like to extend their sincere gratitude for the loving care given to our beloved Benny by the staff of Gifted Hearts Hospice, Mary, Sylvia, Terry, Dr. O and a special thank you to Priscilla. We appreciate all the kindness, love, and support during our time of sorrow. To his brothers and sister, thank you for always being there for Benny, and his family. We are ever so grateful for all your support. To Jacob and Patricia Garcia, thank you for all your love and support. A heartfelt thank you to Mona Gonzales for all she has done to make this day special for our family and her uncle. And to Rene, thank you so much for all your help and support that never goes unnoticed. To Masonic Lodge 12 of Austin, Texas and Masonic Lodge 109 of Seguin, Texas, and fellow brother masons, thank you for all your support. A special thank you to Austin Hibbs, Raul Davila and George Culver.  And lastly, on behalf of Benny, I'd like to take the time to thank all the of those who have been there for his beloved wife Emma Perez and those who continue to be there to support her.
