Cipriano "Zip" D. Rojas Sr., known for his kindness, warmth, and dedication to his family, passed away at home surrounded by loved ones in Seguin, Texas, on April 8, 2024, at the age of 64. He was born on August 26, 1959, in Seguin.
"Zip" took immense pride in his career as a truck driver, spanning over 30 years. It was a source of great accomplishment for him, reflecting his strong work ethic and commitment.
Beyond his professional life, Zip's true joy came from spending time with family and friends. He particularly enjoyed family gatherings and BBQs where he could showcase his skills in smoking briskets. Tending to his yard was another passion of his, as he found pride in making it look beautiful. His love for music was evident to all who knew him. Zip found immense pleasure in jamming out to tunes and attending concerts, especially country music shows. These moments brought him immense happiness and created cherished memories.
However, above all else, Zip's proudest accomplishments were his grandchildren. He showered them with love that knew no bounds and their presence brought him immeasurable joy that words could not capture. In the hearts of those who mourn his passing are the memories of a man who was always willing to help others, kind-hearted by nature, and forever welcoming with a warm smile.
Cipriano is survived by his children: Sulema Rojas Cantu (Isaias Cantu), Francisca Rojas (Juventino Rojas Gutierrez), Cipriano Rojas Jr. (Audrey Lynn Rojas), Nicolasa Rojas Garcia, Martin Rojas, Eduardo Reyes, and Daniel Rojas; as well as 19 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his fiancé Griselda Reyes; siblings Guillermo Rojas Sr., Angelita Rojas, Julia Rojas Valdez; brother-in-law Lucio A. Sanchez as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
In death, Cipriano rejoins his parents Apolonio Flores Rojas Sr. and Francisca Diaz Correa; his brother Apolonio Diaz Rojas Jr.; sisters Juanita Rojas Niño Maria Rojas Rodriguez; Ramona Ann Sanchez - leaving behind a legacy of love and compassion that will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in eternal peace knowing he was truly loved and admired by many.
Visitation will be held at Palmer Mortuary on Thursday, April 25, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 7:00 p.m.
Visitation will continue Friday, April 26, 2024, at Palmer Mortuary at 8:00 a.m. and a procession will depart at 9:30 a.m. to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church where Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Santo Tomas Cemetery.
