Crestina Contreras

Crestina Contreras of Geronimo, Texas went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, May 02, 2008 at the age of 79.

Crestina Contreras was born in Fentress, Texas on July 24, 1929. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother, and as well as a loving friend.

Crestina is preceded in death by her parents; Juan and Florencia Rodriguez Sr.; brothers, Celestino Rodriguez, Rosalio Rodriguez, and Joe Rodriguez; sisters, Dominga Delgado, Catalina Oliva, and Maria Trejo. Crestina is survived by her loving husband, Francisco Contreras Sr. of 59 years; brothers, Valentine Rodriguez Sr. and wife Hermanda, Domingo Rodriguez and wife Chavela, Raul Rodriguez, and Juan Rodriguez Jr.; sisters, Maria Flores and husband Fernando, Manuela Venecia and husband Jose, and sister-in-law Antonia Rodriguez; her loving children, Mr. and Mrs. Domingo and Sara Contreras Sr. of McQueeney, Juanita Gonzales of Geronimo, Mr. and Mrs. Francisco and Tammy Contreras Jr. of Seguin, Maria Vallejo of Chicago, Mr. and Mrs. Neil and Angela Mendoza of Geronimo, Mr. and Mrs. Daniel and Maria Mendoza of Seguin, Victor Contreras Sr. of Geronimo, Mr. and Mrs. Ron and Socorro Sagnahan of Wisconsin, Luis Contreras of Richmond, and Juan Carlos Contreras of San Antonio; 32 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren with numerous nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be held at Palmer Mortuary on Monday, May 5, 2008 from 5:00 PM 9:00 PM with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. A procession will leave Palmer Mortuary at 9:40 AM for a Funeral Mass to be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church on Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at 10:00 AM. Internment will follow at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park.

Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons Francisco Contreras III, Domingo Contreras Jr., Gerald Mendoza, Jason Contreras, Raymond Gonzales and Victor Contreras Jr.
