David Villanueva, age 54, passed away suddenly on September 29, 2021. He was born on January 22, 1967 in Aurora, Illinois to Jose and Maria Del Carmen Villanueva.
David grew up in Corpus Christi with his four siblings - Joe, Letty, Carlos and Oscar Villanueva. His favorite past times in Corpus included fishing and playing football with his brothers and friends at the neighborhood park. In 1986, David moved to Seguin where he later met and married the love of his life, Jolie Elaine (Sepulveda) Villanueva, on September 18, 1993. They just celebrated their 28th wedding anniversary. Together, they had three children - David Jr., Joel, and Jessica Villanueva. David was a devoted husband and father to his kids. He never missed his kid's sporting events, even when he had to wake up at 2 AM for work. He was a 31-year associate for the Walmart Distribution Center in New Braunfels, TX. In his free time, David took every opportunity to fish the coast. He not only enjoyed playing golf, but also never missed an event on TV. David was a die hard Dallas Cowboys fan since he was a toddler and never disowned them. He was known for being a jokester and the life of the party. Nobody cracked David up more than himself. David was very competitive in anything he took part in such as cornhole, washers, pool, and darts. He welcomed everyone into his life and knew no strangers. He was a very giving person and that included hugs and kisses for everyone. His infectious smile and laugh will be dearly missed.
He is preceded in death by his father, Jose Francisco Villanueva Sr.; maternal grandmother, Josefina Quiroz, and paternal grandfather, Nemencio Villanueva.
