Dolores “Lolita” Ramos was led by angels into Heaven on Monday, May 10, 2021 at the age of 95. She was born on August 14, 1925 to Ausencio and Francisca (Estrada) Medrano in Seguin, Texas.
She was loved by not only her children but also by many nieces and nephews she touched along the way. She loved to serve, which she did by attending church regularly and was an active member of the Guadalupanas. She also loved serving at the Our Lady of Guadalupe bazaar where she assisted in making gorditas. Cooking was one of the ways she showed her love to her grandchildren, her brothers, also anyone who would sit at her table.
One of the jobs she had was as a personal care provider in which she cared for people, as this is the way she was, loving. She did this until grandchildren were her priority and joy. Dolores loved planting flowers and working outside in her yard.
As a young woman, she loved to dance. She continued to dance on occasion with her son even into her 90’s. If you know Dolores, you would know she also loved animals. She cared for many dogs and feral cats she fed which brought her joy. Her last beloved canine companion was Chiquita.
Dolores was kind, loving, tough, strong, loyal, and a woman ahead of her times. She was loved and will be greatly missed. She was a great teacher of life.
She is preceded in death by her father, Ausencio and mother, Francisca; husband, Raynol Ramos; brothers, Abel Medrano, Enrique Medrano, Americo Medrano, Ausencio Medrano; sister, Nora Hernandez, Antonia Diaz-DeLeon, and Margaret Lopez.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving children, Raynol Ramos Jr. and wife Cheryle, Fernando Medrano and wife Cherrie, Jaime Ramos and wife Elaine; grandchildren, Joseph Torchia, Tiffany Dudgeon, Tarkenio Medrano, Fernando Medrano Jr., James Medrano, John Raynol Medrano, Christopher Medrano, Santino Medrano, Christian Ramos.
