Emilio Balderas, age 64 went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 25, 2021. He was the devoted husband of Christine, the adoring father of Emilio, Jr., Phillip, Bianca, Cecily and the proud grandfather of Phillip, Mason, Santino, Angelina, Giovanni, and Leon.
Emilio was born in Villa Juarez, San Luis Potosi, Mexico on August 9, 1956 to Dominga (Vidales) and Felipe Balderas. Emilio moved to the United States when he was 18 and from that moment he worked hard to his way to the top. He met and married the love of his life, Christine in April of 1985 and raised several children, grandchildren and was also considered the “Best Tio” to all his nieces and nephews. He moved his family to Seguin from Chicago in 2001 to live his dream out in the country where he welcomed an abundance of animals from goats to chicken and even dogs to say the least. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Emilio was preceded in death by his parents, Felipe and Dominga Balderas, and his brothers, Felipe, Lupe and sisters, Rosa, and Elvira.
Emilio is survived by his wife of 36 years, Christine Balderas; his children, Emilio Balderas, Jr., Phillip Balderas, Bianca Balderas, Cecily Balderas (Brandon Sandoval); grandchildren, Phillip, Mason, Santino, Angelina, Giovanni, and Leon; his brothers and sisters, Manuel, Alberto, Rafael, Maria Luz, Senorina and Estela as well as numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 30, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Palmer Mortuary. All services will conclude in the Palmer Mortuary Chapel on Friday evening and Emilio’s wishes of cremation will be fulfilled.
All guests attending services at the funeral home are required to wear a face covering upon entering and inside the chapel at all times and adhere to social distancing.
