Emma Hernandez Duke of Seguin, entered eternal peace on July 9, 2016, at the age of 63. She was born in Seguin, Texas, on July 9, 1953, to Frank and Gloria (Gonzales) Hernandez.
She was preceded in death by her father, Frank K. Hernandez, and grandparents, Catarino and Estefana Hernandez and Antanacio and Catalina Gonzales.
She is survived by her husband, Jimmy D. Duke, mother, Gloria Hernandez, sisters, Gloria Martinez and husband Ben, Ruby Perales and husband Mike, and Elaine Soto; several nieces and nephews, as well as other relatives and friends.
Emma was an avid antique collector and owned and operated two antique businesses in Corpus Christi for several years.
She loved restoring antique furniture, decorating, planting and working in her yard but most of all, spending time with her loved ones.
Emma will always be remembered for her sweet, kind and loving ways. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be held at Palmer Mortuary Chapel on Friday, July 15, 2016, from 5:00 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church Saturday, July 16, 2016, at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at the San Geronimo Cemetery.
