Eric Nicholas Amador gained his angel wings peacefully on January 10th, 2023 surrounded by his loved ones at the age of 41. He was born December 7th, 1981, in Seguin, Texas to Eustaquio “Toyo” Jr. and Cynthia (Bueno) Amador.
Eric loved life and lived it to the fullest. His first love was baseball and he had the baseball card collection to prove it. But along with his love of the sport, came his talent. He was a member of the Matador Baseball Varsity team his sophomore year and selected to the All-Star Team his entire baseball career. Then, at the age of seventeen, he put the bat and ball away and rediscovered his love for golf, most recently placing 1st in his flight in the Pan American Quad City Golf Tournament this past July. Though he spent Sundays upon Sundays chasing that little white ball on the golf course, he still found time to fit in some good old-fashioned fishing. Fishing was always one of Eric’s favorite hobbies ever since he was five when his Uncle John would spend time with him at Geronimo Creek.
If baseball was his first love, then Metallica would be a very close second. If you knew Eric, then you knew Metallica and heavy metal was his jam, just ask his ENTIRE family!
Eric never had an enemy. He could light up a room and everyone he met with a smile. That is clearly evident in all of the life-long friendships he has made. Eric’s heart was always full of care and compassion for others. He will be dearly missed by all that knew him.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Vicente and Dolores Bueno and paternal grandparents Eustaquio Sr. and Maria Amador.
He will be lovingly remembered by his mother, father, younger brothers Ryan and Brandon Amador, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and friends, and all who loved Eric dearly.
Serving as pallbearers will be John McCarter, Eric Bloch, Juan “Jay” Rodriguez, Kyle Liles, Charles Ramirez, and John Paul Amador, Jr.
Honorary Pallbearers are Tomas Hernandez III, Tony Hernandez, Ramiro Hernandez, Jr., Daniel Moreno, and Jeremy Leal
