Erik Anthony Tijerina

Erik Anthony Tijerina, a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on December 15, 2024, in Austin, Texas, at the age of 45. Born on February 15, 1979, in Houston, Texas, Erik was known for his loving, funny, calm, and kind nature, which endeared him to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Erik dedicated his career to floor repairs, working alongside his father, Joe Tijerina. This time spent with his father not only showcased his skills but also fostered a bond that will forever be cherished by his family. Outside of work, Erik enjoyed an array of hobbies that highlighted his zest for life. He loved skateboarding, spending time fishing, watching football, and immersing himself in the music that filled his heart with joy.

Family was everything to Erik. He is survived by his loving siblings, Joe Tijerina, Lydia Waddell, and Yara Tijerina, who will deeply miss his laughter and warmth. His brother-in-law, Marcus Waddell, along with his many nieces and nephews—Brianna, Helana, Mireya, Mia, Sergio, Adrianna, Joseph, Pixie, and Monty—will remember him not only as an uncle but as a source of joy.

Sadly, Erik's journey is a continuation without his mother, Mimi Arambula, and father, Joe Tijerina, both of whom have passed on, as well as his nephew, Armando Lerma. The love that Erik shared with them remains a powerful presence in the hearts of those he has left behind.

A visitation for Erik will be held on December 28, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Palmer Mortuary & Cremations, located at 1116 N Austin St, Seguin, TX 78155. Family and friends are invited to come together to honor the remarkable man Erik was, to share memories, and to keep his spirit alive through the stories he would have loved to hear.

Erik may no longer walk among us, but his loving spirit and the memories he created with everyone will forever remain in our hearts.
