Frank Torres III, known fondly as "Champ", passed away on October 7, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and artistic brilliance. Born on August 31, 1988, in Seguin, Texas, Champ brought joy and happiness to everyone he encountered throughout his life.
Champ will always be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family. He cherished every moment spent with his family and his love for them knew no bounds. The memories they shared together will forever be treasured and held close to their hearts.
A kind and welcoming soul, Champ was known for his random acts of kindness that touched the lives of many. His selflessness knew no bounds as he consistently went out of his way to brighten someone's day. He had a heart full of love that overflowed onto others.
In addition to his kind nature, he was an exceptionally hard worker and possessed immense artistic talent. His passion for engraving left an indelible mark on the world around him. His love and passion for welding was shown in all of the work he put into welding. He was a self-taught welder and would often refer to himself as the "One Eyed Welder". Beyond these artistic pursuits, he had a passion for boxing and working out and indulging in the simple pleasures of watching movies at home with his loved ones. Sports played a significant role in Champ's life as well. He was an avid fan of both the Cincinnati Bengals and the San Antonio Spurs.
Champ was a cherished member of his family who adored him deeply. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Guadalupe and Maria Luna; uncles Guadalupe Luna Jr., Enrique Luna, and Robert Gallegos; aunt Lucy Gallegos. Left behind to honor his memory is his wife of 14 years, Alyssa Torres; children Javen Rivera, Xavier Gomez (Angela Garcia), Jayla Gomez, and Garrett Anthony Torres; his beloved pet, Bellie; parents, Frank Torres Jr. and Angelita Luna Torres; siblings, Toni Torres and Jesse Torres (Chelsie); nephew Aiden Torres, as well as numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and countless friends.
Visitation will be held on October 13, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Palmer Mortuary & Cremations. Services will conclude Friday evening in the chapel and the family will hold a memorial gathering at a later date.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Javen Rivera, Xavier Gomez. Jesse Torres, Justin Perez, Alex Seirra, Amanda Cardenas, Aaron Luna and Edward “Togo” Rivera.
