Gabriel Garcia was called Home to be with the Lord on October 20, 2021, at the age of 66. He was born on October 16, 1955, to Oralia (Perez) and Leslie Garcia in Seguin, Texas.
Gabriel Garcia was a humble man, but he was an amazing man. He was a man of many talents, who wore many hats, and could do just about anything. He was the type of man that could speak volumes without ever saying a word. Gabe’s number one priority in life was his family, and he showed it in everything he did. Gabriel met the Love of his life at just eighteen years of age. After four years of courtship, they were married, and enjoyed forty-four years together. Gabe was proudest of his daughter, son, grandson, and granddaughter. Gabriel worked 32 years at South Western Bell/AT&T in order to ensure his family had everything they ever needed. Once retired Gabe dove fully into all of his hobbies. Gabe enjoyed fishing, hunting, cooking, welding, woodworking, leatherworking, crafting through different mediums, and just about anything and everything he could get his hands on. He did it all. Second only to his family were his extended family and friends. Gabe enjoyed gathering with people from all walks of life, and they enjoyed him. Gabe loved to laugh, cut up, and tell jokes. He is best remembered sitting in his cave either making a new creation, talking with an old friend, or both. He would do just about anything to help any of those people. He loved his friend very much, and fully enjoyed all of the time they spent together. Gabriel leaves behind a legacy of hard work, helpfulness, and humility. His presence will be sorely missed but will live on forever through each person he impacted throughout his life.
He is preceded in death by both his mother and father; his brothers, Eddie Garcia and Joseph Anthony Garcia and his sister, Inelda Garcia.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 44 years of marriage, Janie Gutierrez Garcia; daughter, Nicole Garcia (Daniel) Rios; son, Joseph Noel Garcia, and girlfriend Martina Lopez Young; grandchildren, Jeremiah Rios, Savannah Rios and Hayden Young; his sister, Chris Garcia; his brother and sister in laws, Robert & Sandy Carrillo, Michael and Kathy Gutierrez, Gerard and Patricia Gutierrez, Connie and Josie Gutierrez as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and many friends made throughout life.
