Gerardo Torres

Gerardo "LoLo" M. Torres, a beloved family patriarch, local resident, and avid sports fan, peacefully passed away in his hometown of Seguin on September 9, 2023. Born on September 23, 1946, also in Seguin, Gerardo lived a life that was as full of love and laughter as it was years. Known for his friendly nature and passionate spirit, he was a man who left a lasting impact on all those fortunate enough to know him.

Gerardo was a man of many interests, but nothing brought him more joy than watching his favorite sports teams. A dedicated fan of both the Dallas Cowboys and the Los Angeles Lakers, he was often found in front of the television, cheering on his teams with the same fervor and enthusiasm that he brought to every aspect of his life. His love for sports was infectious and created many memorable moments with family and friends.

Family was at the heart of Gerardo's life. He is survived by his children, Geraldo Torres Jr, Joe Torres, Terry Torres (Noel Barrientez), Linda Angeles, and Melinda Clark (Michael). Gerardo was a cherished brother to his sisters, Rosalina Farias (Jose), Dora Ibarrea, Elida Leslie, Amanda Rosas (Jesse), and brother, Armando Martinez. In addition to his siblings and children, Gerardo leaves behind a legacy of love with his twelve grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren, and five great great-grandchildren. Each one held a special place in his heart and will carry his memory forward.

Gerardo was preceded in death by his parents, Pantobillon Torres and Jovita Vasques; brothers, Freddie Torres and Chevo Torres; sisters, Jovita Torres and Yolanda Valdez. Each of these losses was deeply felt, but they also served to strengthen his appreciation for the time spent with those he loved. Gerardo's life was a testament to the power of family, and he made sure that everyone he loved knew just how important they were to him.

Gerardo was an interesting man, with a lifetime of stories and experiences that captivated those around him. His friendly demeanor made him approachable, and his passion for life was evident in his every action. His spirit, his laughter, and his love will be sorely missed, but his memory will live on in the many lives he touched.

Gerardo Torres was a man who made the most of his time on this earth. He loved deeply, laughed often, and lived passionately. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and a family who will forever cherish his memory. Services will be in the care of Palmer Mortuary Seguin TX.
