Harold L. Harle, M.D. of Kerrville, Texas died February 14, 2008. He was born in Electra, Texas on February 15, 1920 to Arthur L. and Sarah E. Harle. He grew up in Fort Worth where he graduated from Northside High School in 1936. Hal was fascinated with flying, and he learned to fly at an early age. He attended what was then Kansas State Teachers College. He served as a fighter pilot instructor in World War II, and later as a crop duster, a job that enabled him to work and complete college. He was a graduate of the University of Texas and Southwestern Medical School of the University of Texas in 1954. He was a Diplomat of the American Board of Anatomical Pathology. He practiced in Fort Worth and in Austin until his retirement in 1985. Always in love with flying, Dr. Harle built and flew a number of aircraft, which he continued to fly up until just a few years ago.
He is survived by his nieces, Sandra DuPerier of Medina, Nancy Loomis and Carolyn Thornton of San Antonio, and his sister-in-law, Flo Giles of Seguin.
