Hector Hernandez

Hector Nereo Hernandez, of Seguin, Texas passed away at the age of 50 on Sunday, October 24, 2021.  He was born in San Juan, Texas on June 2, 1971, to Hector and Socorro Hernandez.

He is preceded in death by his father, Hector Nereo Hernandez, Sr., his grandmother, Maria de Jesus Casas and uncle, Lupe Soto.

Hector is survived by his mother, Maria Sepulveda and husband, Joe Sepulveda; his wife, Roxie Jaimes; his children, Estrella, Hector and Joel; grandson, Nickolas Jace Rodriguez; siblings, Veronica Pineda, Pedro Hernandez and fiancé Alysa Wheeler, Ricardo Hernandez and wife, Kellie; nieces and nephews, Alexandra, Samantha, Christian, Addison, Andrea, Nathaniel, Isabella and Jaxon Mateo Hernandez; his maternal uncles, Martin Soto and Jose Soto along with numerous other family and friends.

Hector was born in San Juan, Texas and raised partially in Reynosa Tamaulipas by both parents and eventually moved to Seguin, Texas with his mother and siblings. He graduated from Seguin High School and served his country by joining the United States Marine Corps. After the Marines, he made a career in truck driving for 25 years. Hector had a big personality and a loving heart. He was very dedicated to his family and work. On his time off, music was a big part of his life and he enjoyed dancing and listening to any kind of music. Barbecuing was a favorite activity and after being on the road for a long time he loved having friends and family over to enjoy times together.  Hector is going to be missed by all who knew and loved him.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, October 29, 2021, at 12:00 p.m. at La Trinidad United Methodist Church, 306 East Gonzales St., Seguin, Texas 78155.
