Helen Y. Morales

"All of the material we stand on were produced billions of years ago in the interior of a red giant star. We are made of star-stuff."

Helen Y. Morales, 66, born March 9, 1955, of Seguin, was called Home to the Cosmos by her Creator on October 18, 2021.

Her strength, her capacity to love, her will to forge ahead and her kindness will be missed by all who knew her. Surely, her example will still serve as a guide to the next generation.

Helen enjoyed traveling with her children and especially her grandchildren. Whether she was in the mountains of Colorado or on the shores of South Texas, she felt at home. No doubt this love of travel came from growing up in a military family.

Helen is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Felipa Morales, Domingo Cardenas Sr., and Hilario Morales Sr. and nephew, Eddie Morales, Jr.

She is survived by husband, Raymond "Cory" Morgan, children Domingo Cardenas Jr. (Socorro), Rebecca Limón (Jorge Sr.), Annette Cardenas, Roxanne Bravo (Matute), Vanessa Snipes (Will Sr.), Felipa Young, Hilario Morales Jr., Alesia Cooper (Justin), Elisette Morales (Carlos), and Jessica Coy (Skyler). Grandchildren include Jeremiah, Aracely and Jorge Jr, José, Madison and Will Jr., Eric Jr., Kaia, Lennox, Zora and Beau, Magdalena, Julio Jr. and Miguel, and Chloe and Aria. Siblings are Eddie Morales Sr. (Mary), Patricia M. Vasquez and Michele Morales (Carlos) and numerous nephews and nieces and other family and friends.

A Holy Rosary will be recited on November 9, 2021, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Memorial Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment of cremated remains will follow at 11:00 a.m. at St. James Cemetery and a reception will take place at the conclusion of interment at 12:00 p.m. at La Fiesta Ballroom.
