Jacinto Velasquez

Jacinto Velasquez, 81, passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2015, in Seguin, Texas, at his home with his loving family by his side. He was born on July 26, 1933, to George and Juana Velasquez in Prairie Lea, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his parents; son, David Jose Velasquez; daughter, JoAnn Velasquez; granddaughter JC Jo Beth Leal; sisters, Anita Flores and Simona Zambrano.

He is survived by his wife, Josephina Velasquez; daughter, Olivia Leal; granddaughter, CJ Michelle Leal; daughter, Carmen Velasquez; sons, Adam Velasquez and wife Rosemary and Elijah Ryan Velasquez; grandchildren, Efrain Rodriguez Jr., Sergio Rodriguez, Azarel Velasquez, Alizay Velasquez, Valeria Velasquez, David Jay Velasquez, Heather Tai Hernandez; great grandson, Christian David Lopez; sisters, Dominga Mendez, Angelita Martinez, Josefa Pena, Guillerma Velasquez, Paulina Samaniego and Mary Gomez and brother, Emilio Velasquez along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Adam Velasquez, Joe De La Cruz III, Joaquin Solis, George Velasquez, David Jay Velasquez, Erwin Gomez, Elijan Ryan Velasquez and Christian David Lopez.

Visitation will be held at Palmer Mortuary Chapel on Friday, May 8, 2015, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p. m. with a Rosary to be recited at 6:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at San Geronimo Cemetery.
