Jack Thomas Speights, 92, passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2013 in Seguin, Texas. Jack was born March 31, 1920 to Pearl and Nellie Speights in Wichita Falls, Texas, the oldest of 3 sons.
Jack served in the Army in WWII as a Paratrooper in the 11th Airborne. He married Gladys Bell Wall in 1945 in Pasadena, Texas.
Jack is survived by his 3 daughters Cheryl Hallonquist and husband Jim, Janet Sellers and husband J.D., and Rhonda Nolen. Grandchildren include Bruce Hallonquist and wife Cassie, Brad Hallonquist, Brett Hallonquist and wife Kara, Jarryd Nolen and wife Rebekah, Lauren Nolen, and J.D. Sellers, III and wife Marcy. He had eight great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Wednesday evening, January 9, 2013 from 48 p.m. at Palmer Mortuary on Austin Street in Seguin, Texas. Burial will be held on Thursday morning, January 10, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Ft. Sam National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas.
