James Walter Wade passed away from a short illness on August 22, 2022, at his home in Seguin, Texas surrounded by his family. He was born on February 16, 1941, in Clinton, Tennessee.
James was born and raised in Tennessee until he graduated Norris high school in Clinton Tennessee then joined the Air Force at age 18 and served his country honorably for 22 years. During this time, he married the love of his life Judy and raised his son. James did 3 overseas tours during his service in the Air Force. After he retired from the military he worked for Motorola and K&S in Arizona until he retired a second time and moved to Seguin where he lived out the rest of his life. James loved his family both in Texas and in Tennessee. He loved to play golf and take an occasional trips to Louisiana but spending time at home with his wife Judy and their two dogs was where he was most happy. James dedicated his life to God, family, and country. He was an active member of the Walnut Street Church of Christ here in Seguin. At the time of his passing, James was 81 years old.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ray, and Jessie Wade; brother, Don Wade and sister, Cynthia Hamilton.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Judy Wade of Seguin, Texas, and son Michael Wade and his wife Rhonda Wade of Gonzales, Texas; grandchildren, Lori and Justin Gillespie of Katy, Texas, Ashley Tucker-Wade of Austin, Texas, and Matthew Wade who is currently overseas; great-grandchildren, Delaney Gillespie of Katy, Texas and Aiden Tucker of Austin, Texas as well as one brother, Richard Wade of Louisville, Kentucky.
A memorial service with Air Force Military Honors will be held at Palmer Mortuary on Saturday, September 3, 2022, gathering of family and friends will begin at 12:00 p.m. Rendering of military honors followed by a memorial service will begin at 1:00 p.m. Services will conclude Saturday afternoon in the chapel.
