Jamroun Smalls

Jamroun Smalls of Lake McQueeney, Texas, entered eternal peace on July 13, 2016, at the age of 65. She was born in the town of, Kantraluk, Thailand, on May 1, 1951, to Pauk and Miak Yordsing, the 7th child of 13.

She was preceded in death by both her parents and grandparents.

She is survived by her husband, John Smalls, siblings, sons John Richmond, Patrick Moran, Cedric Moran, and Jason Scott. She had 8 grandchildren; Andrew, Justin, Anthony, Serena, Shawn, Shane, Piper, Xavier and she had one great grandchild Michelle.

Jamroun or "J" as most people knew her, loved cooking food originated from her native country Thailand and fulfilled her lifelong dream of owning and operating Steak and Thai Cuisine restaurant for several years. She added her own unique style of cooking and was known as "The Egg Roll Queen" for her delicious Spring rolls.

She enjoyed growing her own vegetables and herbs, which she used in her restaurant; she took pleasure in traveling to Lake Charles to gamble and loved spending time with her husband and grandchildren.

"J" will always be remembered for her strong but sweet, kind and loving personality with a high regard for community spirit. She never turned anyone away who needed help. Most of all, the pure love in her heart that she shared with everyone has been and always shall be beyond compare. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held at Palmer Mortuary Chapel on Wednesday, July 20, 2016, from 3:00 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m.
