Jose is survived by his wife - Maria Ramirez; daughters - Linda Ramirez Arellano Alejandro, Erica Ramirez Sosa Martin, Esmeralda Ramirez; sons - Jose Ernesto Ramirez Mata Maria Louisa, Edgar Ramirez Mata Samantha, Victor Ramirez Mata Rebecca; 15 grandchildren.

Burial will take place at a later date in Piedras Negras, Mexico.
