The gates of Heaven opened for Josie Garza on Tuesday, May 26, 2016. Josie was born on December 12th, 1946, and was the third of ten children born to Louis, Sr. and Susan Arce Garza.
She worked for Dr. Andrew Raetzsch and Dr. William Thornton before she enlisted and proudly served in the United States Army from 1981-1996. Josie began working at Randolph Air Force Base until her retirement a few years ago. She enjoyed yardwork, baking, telling stories of the places she traveled to and caring for her pets.
Her father, brothers Gilbert and Robert and her precious Patches, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her mother, brother Felix (Cande), Louis (Timmy), Ernest (Rosie), Alex; sisters Linda(Polo), Maggie (Manuel) and Patsy (Victor); numerous nieces, nephews and her beloved pets Bug, Milady, Roxy and Mittens.
Visitation will be held at Palmer Mortuary Chapel, on Monday, June 6, 2016, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church, a Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be at San Juan Cemetery in Geronimo, Texas.
