Juan Rangel Sr., of Seguin, passed away, was called peacefully home by our Heavenly Father on Wednesday October 14, 2015 surrounded by the love of his family, at the age of 97.
Juan was born on June 12, 1918 in Seguin, Texas to Crecencio and Martina (Morales) Rangel. He worked 25 years as a chauffeur for Dan and Clara Blumberg. He also worked for several years at Brooks Air Force Base.
Juan was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He is survived by three daughters: Janie Avalos (Sonny), Susie Arevalo, and Irma Rangel (Julie); one son Juan Rangel Jr. (Imelda); 6 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Julia Torres and brother Francisco Rangel Sr. and numerous nieces and nephews.
Juan was preceded in death by his wife Francisca, son Crescencio, son Francisco, son-in-law Pete Arevalo Jr., and grandson Andrew Arevalo.
Visitation will be held at Palmer Mortuary Chapel on Monday, October 19, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 5:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church on Tuesday October 20, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at San Geronimo Cemetery.
