Kenneth Edward "Kenny" Gordon, of Seguin, passed away on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at the age of 47. He was born on March 9, 1969 to Kenneth and Linda Gordon in Ontario, Canada.
Ahead of his time, walking at only 7 months old, Kenny was very active and enjoyed climbing things. He loved playing hockey, starting at just 5 years old, and he continued to play up until high school. As a brother, he was very protective of his two little sisters, Lori and Susan. As a teenager his love for fast cars began, and his first, of many cars was a Pontiac Trans-Am.
While working as a diesel mechanic he took a two week vacation to Laredo, Texas and met Adriana, who after 4 days told her he was going to come back and marry her. And that's exactly what he did. They were married in Canada on March 1, 1991. Kenny then returned to Laredo and bought a truck and began his trucking career. Known for his hauling capabilities, Kenny was featured on the television show, Modern Marvels, and it showcased his amazing work abilities. After 4 years they moved to Seguin where he raised his family and they made it their home.
Kenny is survived by his wife, Adriana Elisa Gordon, children, Jesse James Gordon, Kenneth Michael Gordon and Linda Gordon; grandchildren, Kaleigh Hope Gordon, Camree Grace Gordon and Brody Wade Rider; his parents, siblings, Michael Donald Gordon, Lori Mt. Pleasant and Susan Gonzalez; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He loved oldies music and old cars and always said he was born in wrong era. On Sundays it was either about NASCAR, football or hockey. He enjoyed taking his antique cars to car shows. He loved GM Motors so much, that when someone came to the house, he'd look out the window and say "yep, my property value just went down".
He was tremendously funny and would say that people were going to come to his funeral just to hear one last joke.
Kenny loved the Jeff Foxworthy Show and referred to himself as a, "redneck," because he built a garage bigger than his house.
Kenny loved his family and was a good husband, father, grandfather and son. He was a hard worker, he worried about others, and he often put others ahead of himself.
Towards the end of his life, Kenny found comfort in Jehovah and loved listening to Kingdom Melodies.
