Lena Dodd

Lena Jean Dodd, went to be with our Lord, on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at the age of 95. She was born in Cameron, TX on July 22, 1922 to Ida M. (Adams) and Benjamin F. Meadows.
Jean worked as a waitress and seamstress for many years. She was a long time member of the Amazing Grace Baptist Church of Seguin, TX, where she donated many of her arts and crafts.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Harold, daughter Elaine Wells, parents, and siblings, Alvin Kelly, John Meadows, Eddie Mae Crow, Ellen Cline and Frances Meneley.
Survivors include her children, Harvey LeRoy Sossamon, Darlene Crow, Ruth Birkert and Emma Turland; and grandchildren, Sharla and Patricia Sossamon and Shannon Amen, Christian Linn and Zach Libby.
Visitation will be held at Palmer Mortuary Chapel on Friday, February 9, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Palmer Mortuary Chapel on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 12:30 p.m. with a Burial to follow at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park.
