Leo Johnson

Leo G. Johnson, of Seguin, Texas went home with our Lord Jesus Christ on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at the age of 83 in Floresville, Texas. He was born to Cecil Johnson and Helen (Farek) Johnson on April 10, 1937 in Port La Vaca, Texas.

Leo is preceded in death by both of his parents; his loving wife, Christina P. Johnson; brother, Rossy Johnson.

He is survived by his children, Marissa Johnson and her life partner, Dave Barnett and Kennedy Johnson and wife Tina; grandchildren, Dennis Johnson and wife Lizet, Fernando Lopez, Ashley Nicole Reynolds and husband Austin, Matthew Lopez, Kennedy Johnson Jr. and Mackenzie Ross Johnson; great-grandchildren, Dennis Jr., Lyndon B., Raiden Reign, Averie and Akan; sisters, Charlene Eller, Shirley Reitield, Kathleen Gerloff and Louis Trost. Leo is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Leo was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a hard worker and never let any obstacles stop him from doing what he needed to do.  He was organized and devoted to his family and loved spending time with them. Leo was always the first to lend a giving hand or an ear to listen. He enjoyed listening to music, telling stories and watching football or western movies.  He will be dearly missed by all who were lucky to have known and loved him.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 28, 2020 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 5:00 p.m. at Palmer Mortuary.  Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. and will remain for immediate family due to the capacity limitation at the committal shelter.
