Leonardo "Leo" Torres of Seguin, went home on Friday May 26, 2017 at the age of 45. He was born in San Antonio, Texas to Raymond and Dominga (Tagle) Torres.
He is preceded in death by his mother Dominga, paternal grandparents Francisco and Maria (Maldonado) Torres and maternal grandparents Pilar and Maria (Martinez) Tagle.
He is survived by his wife Norma Leticia Lopez, a son, Leo Jr. and stepchildren Monica, Diego and Martin; father, Raymond Torres, sister, Yolanda Lynner (Richard), brother, David Torres (Diana), nieces Erin and Rebekah Lynner, Bianca and Jessica Torres and nephew Johnathan Torres (Caley).
Leo or "Lenny" as he was affectionately known by his family enjoyed football, volleyball, and cooking. He graduated from Seguin High School in 1989 and lettered in football. He was well liked by friends long after graduation. Being a critical thinker Lenny enjoyed discussing politics and contemporary culture. He had a quiet faith in God and an admirable work ethic which was amply demonstrated in his more than 20 years of employment with HEB.
He will be missed for the people person that he was, his kind and generous spirit, his sense of humor and contagious laugh.
Visitation will be held at Palmer Mortuary Chapel on Friday, June 2, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. (Saturday, June 3, 2017), with the Holy Rosary to be recited by the Deacon Nick Carrillo at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church (409 W. Krezdorn St., Seguin, TX 78155) at 10:00 a.m., with interment to follow at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church Cemetery.
