Louis Arce Sr., a beloved figure whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of many, passed away on March 20, 2025, in Seguin, Texas. Born on January 8, 1935, in New Braunfels, Texas, Louis lived a life characterized by love, compassion, and unwavering dedication to his family and friends.
Louis was known as a very loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, and friend. His profound affection for his family was evident to all who knew him; he cherished every moment spent with them. Louis had a special talent for making those around him feel at ease, always extending a helping hand or a comforting word whenever it was needed.
Throughout his life, Louis had passions that brought him joy and peace. He loved to go fishing, finding solace in the tranquility of nature. Long walks in the park allowed him to immerse himself in the beauty of the environment, and these simple pleasures were among the many ways he celebrated life.
Louis is survived by his loving children: Gloria Arce, Diane Arce Flores, Louis Arce Jr., Antonio Arce and wife Sylvia, Gerardo Arce and wife Candice, Paul Arce, Rosalinda Arce Valdez and husband Rick, Noel Arce, Marisella Arce, and Gracie Galvan, along with many grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. His family also includes his siblings, Steven Arce and wife Angie, and Gregory Arce, as well as a multitude of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who held him dear.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Gregory Arce I and Petra Andrade Arce; his beloved wife, Rosa Arce; and his son, Baby Louis Arce Jr. Louis was also predeceased by his siblings Juan Arce, Alex Arce, Jimmy Arce, and Susie Garza.
As we remember Louis Arce Sr., we celebrate a life well-lived, marked by generosity, kindness, and an enduring love for family. His memory will continue to inspire and bring comfort to those who were fortunate enough to know him.
Viewing will be on Monday April 7, 2025 at Palmer Mortuary from 5pm to 8pm with a Rosary at 6:30 pm. The Rosary will be livestreamed on this obituary page for anyone who cannot make it in person to be with the family.
A final viewing will be on Tuesday April 8, 2025 at Palmer Mortuary starting at 8 am and a Mass of Christian Burial will follow at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church at 10 am. Burial will be at San Geronimo Cemetery.
