Lydia Rodriguez, 85, of Seguin entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, August 30, 2018 in Lubbock, Texas following a brief illness. Lydia was born on May 29, 1933 in Ecleto, Texas to Epifanio and Tomasa Guerra Moreno. She married Luis Ramos Rodriguez on April 26, 1964 in Kenedy, Texas. Their 54 year marriage was blessed with four children: Brenda, Luis Jr., Susie and Raquel; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was an active member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and Our Lady of Guadalupe Quilting Ministry. She served as a Cruciesta and a Guadalupana.
Lydia was preceded in death by her parents and infant daughter, Raquel; her brothers, Epifanio Jr. and Alfredo Moreno and her sister Reyes Osuna.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Luis Rodriguez of Lake McQueeney; daughters, Brenda Storie of Lake McQueeney and Susie Davila and husband Jerry of Lubbock; her son, Luis Rodriguez Jr. of New Braunfels; brothers, Gilbert, Ramon, George, Albert and Federico Moreno; sisters, Irene Gonzales and Tomasa Bates; grandchildren, Ruben Storie, Scott Storie, Rachel, Anthony and Estrella Rodriguez, Nicolas Davila; great-grandchildren, Alex, Makyla and Bobby Quintero, Jr., Raegan and River Storie, Adrienne Rosas and Hunter Storie.
Visitation will be held at Palmer Mortuary Chapel on Monday, September 3, 2018 at 5:00 p. m. to 9:00 p.m., with the Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at 9:00 a.m., followed by the Rites of a Christian burial in the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Cemetery in Seguin.
