Mack Green

Mack "Big Mack" Green, of Seguin, passed away on Friday, October 7, 2016 at the age of 83. He was born in Luling, Texas on July 31, 1933 to Mr. and Mrs. Mary (Smith) Green. He married Mozell Broadnax on September 26, 1960.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Willis Green, sister Ruby Mills and grandsons Adrain Wisher and Caruis Johnson.

Growing up he served as an usher at Friendship Baptist Church in Luling. He proudly served in both, the US Army and US Navy and was a member of the American Legion of Seguin Texas. He enjoyed taking trips to New Orleans. Retiring from Randolph ISD after 55 years of being a dedicated worker and in his post-retirement, he still continued to work the games at Randolph until his health prevented him to do so. "Big Mack," will be missed by those that knew and loved him.

Mack leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Mozell Green of 56 years, daughters, Deberah (Jake), Elvera; sons , Gilbert (Patricia), Lamar (Judy), Odell; 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Palmer Mortuary Chapel on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Palmer Mortuary Chapel on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Active Pallbearers will be: Douglass A. Brown, Benny Cockran, Brandon A. Washinton and Jeremiah L Wisher. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Odell Broadnax, Ezzard Cockrum, Jake Lloyd, Adrain S. Wisher, Gilbert Wisher and Lamar Wisher.
