Margarita Garcia

Margarita Vigil Garcia of Seguin, Texas gained her angel wings on Saturday, May 29, 2021, at the age of 69. She was born on April 21, 1952, to Teresa (Perez) and Serapio Vigil.

Margarita was the strength that held the family together. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and caretaker. She always was willing to help others with anything she could. You will be missed by so many, “Big MoMo” “Brown Grandma”. We say see you later because it is not goodbye. We love you.

Margarita is preceded in death by her parents, Serapio and Teresa Vigil; son, Matias Davila Jr.; granddaughter, Gabriela Vigil; grandson, Raymond Manuel Pelcastre Sr.; her brothers and sisters, Margarito Vigil, Chavela Garcia, Julia Vigil-Trujio, Fernando Vigil, Apolonia Ortiz, Tereso De Jesus Vigil, Ramona Vigil, Plutaro Vigil, Julia Vigil and Teresa Vigil.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving children, Pieda Vigil of Seguin, Maria Pelcastre and husband Manuel of Seguin and, Jose Davila and wife Tina of Kingsbury; her siblings, Adela Gonzales, Cruz Hooten and husband Bill of Austin, Toribio Vigil of Seguin, Juan Vigil and wife Santa of Houston; grandchildren, Ray Vigil, Corey Vigil, Briana Holguin, Peter Gabriel Vigil, Jessica Davila, Marshall Castanon, Julie Estrada, Maria Elena Pelcastre Matias Davila Pelcastre, Johnathan Manuel Sanchez, Bryan Manuel Pelcastre, (Merayah Pelcastre, Raymond Pelcastre and Rianna Pelcastre) as well as 15-great-granchildren as well numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended loving family and friends.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Ray Vigil, Corey Vigil, Matias Pelcastre, Johnathan Sanchez, Marshall Castanon, Raymond Pelcastre, Marcos Saenz, and Silbiano Gonzales Jr.

Visitation will be held at Palmer Mortuary on Monday, June 7, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be Celebrated on Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Cemetery.
