Maria Morales Jimenez went home to be with our Lord on Sunday, August 3, 2008 at the age of 86. She was born on June 3, 1922 in Seguin, Tx. to Toribio Morales, Jr. and Mariana Fernandez Morales. She married Eliazar Elias Jimenez, Sr. on June 15, 1941 and remained living in Seguin until her death. She was blessed with 11 children, 23 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Maria was a life-long member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and a member of the Guadalupanas since 1976.
She attended catholic school, Leissner School and Juan Seguin Elementary School.
Maria was preceded in death by her husband, Eliazar Jimenez, Sr.; sons, Eliazar Eli Jimenez and Rogelio Roy Jimenez; grandsons, Joseph Jimenez and Rene Lopez; granddaughter, Sandra DeLeon; daughter-in-law, Dolores Jimenez; parents, Toribio, Jr. and Mariana Morales; brother, Jose Morales; sister, Anita Morales; brothers-in-law, Enrique and Humberto Jimenez; sisters-in-law, Eva Urias and Anita Pena.
Survivors include her sons, Alfredo Jimenez and wife Martha Graciela; Joe Jimenez and Jesse Jimenez San Antonio; daughters, Mary Lopez and husband Andy, Sr. Luling; Oralia DeLeon and husband Alex San Marcos; Jane Jimenez; Gloria Jimenez; Irma Sandoval and husband Rene, Sr.; Elida Cisneros and husband Placido, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Mary Jimenez; brother, Manuel Morales and wife Julia Fresno, CA; sister, Leonor Alvarez Madera, CA; sister-in-law, Josie Garcia; aunt, Maria Gil; numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.
Maria will be missed by all whose life she touched with her smile, kindness and friendship. Her immense love of God and her Christian faith have led the way in her spiritual journey.
The family would like to thank the Seguin Dialysis Clinic staff and the Odessey Health Care staff for the care and support of their mother. Deep gratitude is also being expressed to Gloria DeLaCruz, Eucharistic Minister at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, for her compassion, love and friendship as she ministered to their mother the last 8 years.

Visitation will be held at Palmer Mortuary on Thursday, August 7, 2008 from 2:00 PM 9:00 PM with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM.
A Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, August 8, 2008 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church at 10:00 AM with interment to follow in Our Lady of Guadalupe Cemetery.
