Maria Sanchez

Maria Garcia Sanchez of Seguin, Texas peacefully entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, March 31, 2020. She was born on May 10, 1948 in Seguin, Texas to Daniel and Rosa Sandoval Garcia.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Rosa Garcia; son, Omar Sanchez; her father-in law, Jesus Sanchez and mother-in-law, Juanita Sanchez.

Maria was a devout Catholic, and was confident that when she left this Earth, she would be welcomed into the kingdom of Heaven.

She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Ramon Ynclan Sanchez; daughter, Clarisa (Lynn) Glenewinkel; son, Ramon "Dickie" (Debbie) Sanchez; granddaughter, Jordan (Steven) Lerma; grandson, Jason Sanchez (Candace Maldonado); and great-granddaughter, Mila "Taquito" Lerma. She is also survived by her sisters, Cecilia Rangel, Adela Paez, and Elisa (Randy) Dasher; brothers, Frank (Carol) Garcia and Daniel (Olga) Garcia; brother and sister in-laws, Edward (Virgina) Sanchez, Pilo (Mercy) Sanchez, Antonia Sassanhagen, Lucy Martinez, and Angelica (Emilio) Martinez. Maria is further survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like thank Guadalupe Regional Medical Center Wound Care, Legend Home Health, Advanced Home Health, and Elara Hospice for their support and compassion.

A Visitation will take place on Thursday, April 2, 2020 at Palmer Mortuary from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. A graveside service will take place on Friday, April 3, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at San Juan Cemetery in Prairie Lea, Texas

As per guidelines outlined by the State of Texas Governor Greg Abbot, gatherings in our facilities are limited to 10 guests or less.  Direct eye contact, loving words, and a warm smile are as meaningful to the family as a traditional handshake or hug.  Please refrain from physical contact for the health and safety of the family.
