Maria Erlinda "Linda" Morales

Maria Erlinda “Linda” Morales was called Home to be with Our Lord on January 24, 2023 at the age of 65. She was born on January 19, 1958 to Elogio Jimenez Saenz and Eleuteria (Tagle) Saenz in Seguin, Texas.

Linda’s life can be summed up with a few words: Trusting. Loving. Hard-Working. Big-Hearted. Giving. Patient. She assumed the best intentions of anyone the same way she trusted in the Lord and the Virgen de Guadalupe. She kept faith as it guided her to push forward, no matter the circumstance. She loved with a big heart and would help anyone in any way she could: If you needed a hug, she would embrace you. If you needed something to eat, she would cook for you. If you needed someone to lean on, she became a pillar. If you needed anything and she had it, it became yours. She had a pure heart and did the best she could with what she had and never gave up. She was a listener. She was committed to her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents Elogio and Eleuteria Saenz; her brothers, Armando “Mando” Saenz, Elogio “Gopher” Saenz Jr., Jose Fernando “Fernie” Saenz and Raul “Rudy” Saenz.

Left to cherish her memory is her spouse, Ray Gutierrez; children, Nettie Morales, James Edward Morales and Priscilla Morales (Derrick Franklin); grandchildren, Destiny, Audrelena, Ethan, Raquel, Leonard, Paloma Mae, Xavier, Alyssa and Jorge; great-grandchildren, Bria, Messiah, Zay-Zay, Navy, Emiliano and lastly; her fur-grandbabies, Sparky, Charlie and Rex.

Visitation will be at Palmer Mortuary on Thursday, February 09, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Friday, February 10, 2023 beginning at 8:00 a.m. and a funeral procession will depart the chapel to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church where Mass will be offered at 10:00 a.m. All service will conclude at the church Friday. The family will fulfill Linda’s wishes of cremation. An inurnment will take place at a later date privately with Linda’s family.
