Maria “Sana” Herrera was called Home to the Lord on December 8, 2022, at the age of 69. She was born on June 8, 1953, in San Antonio, Texas to Maria Teresa (Gonzalez) and Secundino Mireles Sr.
Maria was the best Momo in the world. Her life was her family. Her husband, her children, and her grandchildren. She enjoyed her Spurs, Cowboys, crossword puzzles, garage sales, and family gatherings. Maria was the most selfless women inside and out. She never judged; she never criticized you. She was just there, ALWAYS there. She loved a full house, even though she never said this, we know she did. Everyone had a home at her house, and you always woke up to a hot meal. She was the greatest mother, grandmother, wife, sister, and friend anyone could ask for. She will be missed dearly.
Maria is preceded in death by her parents, Maria Teresa, and Secundino Mireles Sr; sister, Yolanda Ugalde and brother, Ralph Mireles.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 51 years of marriage, Martin Herrera; her children, Lisa Caballero (Nathaniel Martinez), Michael Herrera and Marty Herrera (Sarah Ramirez); grandchildren, Fabian Caballero, James Caballero, Joseph Caballero, Julian Caballero, Michael Ryan Herrera, Sebastian Herrera, Josie Herrera, Destiny Herrera, Adrian Herrera, Sariah Herrera and Delilah Herrera; great-grandchildren, Madisyn Caballero, Madelynn Caballero, Ava Caballero, Alivia Caballero, James Caballero, Mia Caballero, Ellie Caballero and Jasiah Caballero; her brothers and sister, Secundino Mireles Jr.(Dolores Mireles), Mary Morales, Raymundo Mireles, Juan Mireles (Gracie Mireles), Ray Mireles (Gracie H. Mireles) and Joe Mireles (Janie Maldonado) as well numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
