Merce is survived by his wife: Olga Cardenas; children: Sandra Cardenas Jose, Ruby Cardenas Jose; sons: Merce Cardenas, Jr. Cynthia, Jesse Cardenas Angelica, Yolanda Meraz Candelario, Petra Cardenas Marshall and John R. Cardenas Karen; 23 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; brother: Casimiro Cardenas; sister: Mary Guerra and numerous nieces and nephews.
