Paula Morales

Paula Ortiz Morales was called home to Our Lord on September 27, 2021, at the beautiful age of 95. She was born on January 26, 1926, in Staples, Texas to Inocencio and Juana (Duran) Ortiz.

Paula was a faithful Christian woman. She was active in her church activities, she attended church regularly until she was unable to.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Candelario Morales; and infant son; 2 sisters and 1 brother.

Survivors include her children: Efrain Morales (Rosa), Victoria Leos, Oralia Culbertson, Ofelia Soto, Belinda Soto, Pablo Morales, Noami Gutierrez (Mike) and Candelario Morales Jr. (Mary Jane Salas); 1 sister, Manuela Viesca of Kirby, Texas; 25 grandchildren, 68 great-grandchildren, 21 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be at Palmer Mortuary on Thursday, September 30, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Prayer service at 7:00 p.m. A Final viewing will be on Friday, October 1, 2021, from 8:00 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. and a funeral procession will depart the funeral home chapel no later than 9:45 a.m. to arrive at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park by 10:15 a.m.

The family would like to thank staff at Guadalupe Regional Hospice for all of their care provided to Paula.
