Pedro Contreras Jr.

Pedro "Nune" Lopez Contreras, Jr., of Seguin, passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at the age of 62. He was born in Lubbock, Texas on October 28, 1955 to Amelia and Pedro Contreras, Sr.

He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Juan, Inez, Rosario, Gregorio and Antonia and several family members who he loved and cared for deeply.

He was raised in Seguin, Texas with his 7 brothers and sisters. Nune was an amazing musician who has inspired many. His musical talents include playing the guitar and bass. He also was gifted in composing and teaching music, among many other things.

Pedro is survived by his children, Pedro Contreras, III, Edward Contreras and wife Cynthia, Audrey Salinas and husband Albert, and Annette Andrade and husband Robert. He was very loved by his beautiful grandchildren, Elisa, Pete IV, Cristian, Joshua, Briana, Jeremy, Emily, Destiny, Albert IV, Damian, Steven, Hayden, Jacob, Jaylynn, Caleb, and Laila; great grandchildren, Raelynn, Jamilynn, Leeland, Cassondra, and Pete V; siblings, Bertha Ramirez and husband Igancio, and Maria Magallanes; ex-wife, Dalia Medina and husband Rudy (who both had much love, respect and admiration for him); Nune was also adored by his numerous nieces and nephews, who showed so much love and support to his children and sisters, during his final hours.

Visitation will be held at Palmer Mortuary Chapel on Saturday, April 28, 2018 from 11:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., with a Funeral Service to follow at 2:00 p. m. The Burial will be held at the Santo Tomas Cemetery.
