Pedro Rodriguez

May 13, 1943 — March 12, 2020

Pedro Rodriguez Sr. of Seguin, Texas was welcomed into his Heavenly Home on March 12, 2020 at the age of 76. He was born on May 13, 1943 in Marion, Texas to Ramon Rodriguez and Emilia Leal Rodriguez.

Pedro worked at Acme Brick for 44 years and then retired to enjoy life with his family. He was a man of strong faith and because of this he was involved locally at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, he participated in prayer groups and was a member of the Holy Name Society. Pedro loved to joke around and you could also count on him to help anyone in need. He would visit members of the community in the hospital when they were sick to brighten up their day. He found enjoyment in cutting grass and making sure his yard was neat. He loved eating menudo especially going out to different restaurants and trying their dishes. He enjoyed visiting his daughter Carmen at her home and he especially loved to be with his family and his grandkids. Pedro's earthly presence will be deeply missed by all of those who knew and loved him but we are confident that one day we too will be reunited with him once again for eternity.

“Let your hearts not be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.” - John 1 4

He is preceded in death by his mother and father and his daughter, Mary Ellen Hernandez.

Left to cherish and honor his memory is his wife of 59 years of marriage Susie L. Rodriguez; children, Pedro Rodriguez Jr., Carmen Gutierrez (Mario), Fabian Rodriguez (Ly Ann), Isabel Rodriguez (Johnny) and Diana Reyes (Luis); brother, Santos Rodriguez; sisters, Lupe Carrera and Janie Rodriguez; 17 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. Pedro is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
