Ralph Grote

Ralph A. Grote, age 87, passed away on Monday, April 21, 2014. Ralph was born on December 17, 1926, in Schertz, Texas to Otto and Helena Grote. He was the youngest of eight children.
Following high school, Ralph was inducted into the Unites States Navy, where he honorably served on active duty as a Machinists Mate Third Class abroad the USS Altamaha in WWII and served once again on active duty abroad the USS Bon Homme Richard CV31 in the Korean War.
Ralph retired from Krueger Chevrolet in New Braunfels, Texas where he worked as an automobile mechanic for over 30 years.
He loved traveling to the western United States where he enjoyed exploring the national parks, camping and other outdoor activities. Ralph was also an avid water skier in his younger years.
Mr. Grote was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years Billile R. Grote. He is survived by his daughters, Susan Grote and Sharon Pantermuehl grandchildren Trisha Thomas and Dona Torres three greatgrandchildren, Aaron and Autumn Torres and Savannah Thomas.
He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
