Reyes Lozano was called home on June 1, 2019 at the age of 98. He was born on January 6, 1921 in Geronimo, Texas to Pedro Lozano and Maria Sassenhagen.
He is preceded in death by his wife Avelina Castillo Lozano, his parents Pedro Lozano and Maria Sassenhagen, and all of his siblings.
He is survived by his two sons and two daughters; Reyes Lozano Jr. and wife Joyce of Kerrville, Texas, Richard Lozano and wife Jessie Lozano of Seguin, Texas, Gloria Cruz and husband Lorenzo Cruz of Elgin, Texas, Elizabeth Lombard and husband Steve Minner of Marion, Texas; eight grandchildren, Edward Lozano, Haley Lozano, Sonia Moreno, Sandra Keeton, Judy Henderson, Kristerpher Lombard, Kristina Lombard, and Steven Lombard; seventeen great-grandchildren, many great -great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Reyes spent his early years as a successful entrepreneur, owning and operating one of the first restaurant and gas stations in Seguin, the Acapulco Cafe. He enjoyed spending time fishing at the Gulf and spending time with his family. His greatest success is that he was a living example to anyone that people are only limited by their own expectations.
Pallbearers will be Kristerpher Lombard, Steven Lombard, Gary Keeton, Rene Suarez, Mike Moreno, Marcellus Henderson and Zachery Aguirre
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m. with a Funeral Mass to follow at 10:00 a.m. at St. James Catholic on Thursday, June 6, 2019 with a procession to lead to San Geronimo Cemetery.
Family and Friends are asked to meet at St. James Catholic Church on Thursday, June 6, 2019 as there will not be a formal procession from the funeral home to the church.
