Robert Marcelino Garza Sr, age 65, of Seguin, was called home to the Lord on October 19, 2024.
Robert was well known for his amazing barbecue, his love of NASCAR, and his support of the Dallas Cowboys. Of all the things Robert loved, he loved his family the most. He enjoyed hosting get-togethers for the holidays where he would often be seen laughing and talking with his loved ones at the barbecue pit.
Robert is preceded in death by his father, Marcelino Garza, mother, Amanda Molina, stepfather, George Molina, stepmother, Edelmira Garza, mother-in-law, Rebecca Contreras, father-in-law, Crespin Contreras, brother, Pedro Garza, sister, Diane Ovalle, and his daughters, Becky and Kristie Garza.
Robert is survived by his three sons, Robert Marcelino Garza Jr, Pedro Garza, Ruben Garza, his daughter, Krystal Garza, and his beloved wife of 48 years, Maria Garza. He is also survived by four grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
Robert was loved and respected by so many and was highly regarded as the backbone of the family. He always had an ear that was willing to hear problems and would often give sound advice to those in need. Robert played a bigger role in his family’s lives than he may have even known. He was anything and everything that his family needed him to be and he remained strong and steady until his last breath.
